The Academic Quality and Excellence (AQE) Division is integral to advancing UCN’s mission, vision and mandate. AQE works with staff and faculty to foster a culture of academic rigor, research excellence, and innovative and responsive teaching. AQE is committed to supporting continuous improvement through robust quality assurance measures and a strong commitment to scholarly inquiry.

AQE plays a critical role in overseeing UCN’s quality assurance framework. This includes the facilitation of program reviews and renewals and providing support to faculty in their teaching practices. The division also ensures the quality, accessibility, and effectiveness of academic resources including library services, the learning management system, and instructional support systems.

Through its initiatives, AQE strengthens UCN’s commitment to academic excellence, student success and scholarly inquiry.

UCN acknowledges that we are on the traditional territories and homelands of many Indigenous peoples, who have existed here since time immemorial. The First Nations in the area that UCN serves entered into treaty relationships with the Crown and the territory has also become home to other Indigenous peoples. We uphold the treaties and collaborate with all Indigenous  peoples to share truth, reconciliation and learning.
